The Matrix VS. Chun Tzu Theories

By: Raquelle Collins

The differences between The Matrix and Chun Tzu’s theories is that, in The Matrix, Neo, the main character, felt something all his life that he could not describe and he also had dreams but didn’t understand them. He never knew what it was. He just always felt like he was looking for something but he didn’t know what it was or who it was. Chun Tzu’s theory differs from this because although The Matrix and his theories have many similarities, it is also very different. It is different because in The Matrix, you eventually get to understand what he is feeling and you get to see him understand it and his visions. Chun Tzu’s theory is very different from this. Although it’s a similar feeling, unlike The Matrix, you feel it, but you never come to terms of what it is your feeling or what you know in your dreams, you just know, there’s no other way to possibly describe it. If you were to describe the dreams, you actually wouldn’t understand them at all. So that is how it differs from each other, because in The Matrix, they describe them and help you understand, but if they were real, there would be nothing to describe or talk about understanding, it would be impossible.
